I enjoy the challenge of bringing together the different factors to make a piece of art. Every material has a character there to be exploited. I aim to transform the tough materials to cause a sensuous result. This may be achieved through a variety of processes each of which will bring about a change. Material and process will combine to impose their own stylisation. Under these influences, subject to chance and the vital approach of the artist, the work will grow organically. A visible history of the development becomes embodied and so we have a piece which will stir the senses.
