Normally I will start by making drawings from different angles. This makes me examine the subject closely to analyse their structure. It is particularly helpful where only some casual photographs may exist. In this case I built up my three dimensional anatomic image. First I built the skull, then added the muscles one by one. It was easy then to cover with a layer of skin.
