Stone fired
Now I always fire to stoneware temperature so that finished pieces can stand in the open. I limit myself to three glazes and aim to achieve my colours by the application of simple oxides only. I have made many test pieces with a view to establishing a complete palette of colours. For my reds I have to resort to synthetic materials
